i had the luxury of sleeping in today.

i took my time making my way through the morning routine. slowly tearing myself from my bed. lingering over breakfast.

but the time came to go.

as i pulled on my coat and grabbed my bag, i caught one last glimpse of the tv. i'm not sure of the occasion, but "kenneth the page" - from nbc's show 30 rock - was joining the usual suspects of the today show for some decidedly awkward banter.

today i was taking an alternate commute that had me winding through underground tunnels.
leading me from one train to the next.
the f/v to the 1/2/3.

and as i was rounding yet another corner of the seemingly endless tunnels.
about 20 minutes from the last time i'd seen him.
kenneth the page walked by.
publicity appearance over.
likely heading home.
or maybe for a cup of coffee.
