my yes face
i was simply going to get an afternoon snack.
i reached the elevator bank. where a man was also waiting. short in stature. approximately my age. and he said to me:
"the best way to get your ex back is to go everywhere she goes, right?"
i hesitantly, cautiously replied, "i don't know if that would get her back. . ."
as if reading my mind, he interjected:
"i mean if she invites you. like wants you to go with her. that'd get her back."
i again replied with hesitation, reiterating, "i don't know if that would do it. . ."
standing together in the elevator. alone. he continued his case:
"yeah. but if the [slams his fists together] sexual connection is still there. . ."
i could not figure out why the elevator was moving so slowly from one floor to the next. and all i could think to say was, "i don't know. i just think it's a case by case thing. sometimes things work out. sometimes they don't."
he continued to walk with me for a while, continued to share more about his relationship than i needed to know.
occupational hazard, i suppose.

Whatever happened to discretion and just plain manners? Maybe that is why she dumped him.
There is such a lack of gentility nowadays.
