rokk stars
he warned me. he said they would change my life. i thought he was just over-selling. but i'm beginning to think he was right.
the sound is compelling. and thankfully up-lifting. and oddly reflective. somehow inspring really.
but playful all at the same time.
and i find that i keep hitting repeat.

MGMT (the management) . . . a friend insisted that i join him in attending a recent show of their's in brooklyn. and i'm so glad he did.
they don't have one yet. that's why we went. my friend is trying to sign them. you know - manage the management. heh. they've kinda got one through their record company - cantora records. but this duo is ultra fresh. so yeah - not much google luck out there.
yeeeaah . . . i don't know if you were hoping to just find out more info or find a small leak of what i'm a new fan of. but if it's the latter, the cantora records website is solely devoted to MGMT - i'm tellin ya this whole gig is small. and they have two mp3s up. if you wanna listen. i HIGHLY recommend "time to pretend."
